We add 10 to 20 new
leads per week from the website. Many of these (30%) become
customers, and most of those are repeat buyers.
We get more leads from
the website than all of our sales staff combined. We have also
begun to sell our services and products internationally thanks
to the site. So far we have sold to Taiwan, China, Japan,
Azerbaijan, Philippines, Russia, Israel, India, Turkey, Mexico,
and several other countries.
In addition to selling
internationally, we have covered much of the United States,
where we don’t even have sales people. We have no one west of
the Mississippi River, yet we have sold hundreds of thousands of
dollars of product to this area thanks to the website.
We receive many
compliments on our site and the ease of use that the customer
experiences. They are able to quickly find the information that
they are looking for.
The website has caused
one small problem though… We recently began to sell a product
that we do not manufacture. There is a large distribution
network set up already and we were added as a distributor
because we can service the product. The original equipment
manufacturer is now concerned because we are the #1 position
when people search for the product on the internet. We are # 1
on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and several other search engines. They
keep asking us how we are doing it…
